BELMONT, Miss - Belmont Elementary School recently marked a fun milestone, celebrating the 50th day of school in style with a nod to the 1950s. Students and teachers alike dressed in classic 50s attire, with poodle skirts, leather jackets, and slicked-back hair making an appearance in the hallways.
The day's activities were packed with fun, beginning with a sock hop dance that brought the spirit of the 50s alive. The gym was filled with music and dancing as students enjoyed twisting and jiving to some old-school tunes.
No 50s celebration would be complete without a tasty treat, and students were thrilled to indulge in delicious Coke floats, adding a sweet touch to the nostalgic event.
The celebration was a great way for students and staff to have fun together while learning a little about the past. Belmont Elementary knows how to make the school year memorable, and the 50th-day celebration certainly didn’t disappoint!
