Belmont’s team 1-10 and Under girls, coached by Ashley Higginbottom and Allison Rhodes won the west division of Franklin County (Alabama) youth tournament. These girls will play the East division champions the 10U girls of Phil Campbell on Saturday. More than 180 teams competed in the Franklin county youth basketball tournament this past week. Belmont had 22 teams participating in the west division tournament with one championship team and three runner-up teams: Belmont team 2 -12U girls, Belmont’s team 3-10U girls, and Belmont’s 8U boys.
