BELMONT, Miss - Last week students at Belmont High School took part in the daily festivities that lead up to the big game on Friday night.
Selena Rodriguez was presented as the Homecoming Queen for 2024 during the pre-game presentation of the court.
Belmont faced off against Alcorn Central High School and won 38 - 7, remaining undefeated for the season.
Belmont High School marked its 125th homecoming with a weekend full of festivities, celebrating both the school’s proud history and its vibrant present.
Homecoming kicked off with a vibrant parade through downtown Belmont, featuring floats created by students, alumni, and local organizations. The streets were lined with proud parents, excited students, and alumni who returned to their roots for the special occasion. The cheerleaders, marching band, and football team led the way, bringing energy and excitement to the celebration
The homecoming night was a special tribute to the school's legacy, with over 40 past homecoming queens returning to be honored alongside the 2024 homecoming court.
Before the highly anticipated game, the 2024 homecoming court was presented to the crowd, drawing cheers and excitement. At halftime, the past queens took to the field, walking proudly as they were recognized for their role in Belmont's rich tradition. The sight of so many former queens, spanning decades, was a touching moment for alumni and current students alike.
The event was a perfect blend of past and present, with many reminiscing about their time at Belmont while celebrating the next generation of Cardinals. The night was further electrified by the Belmont football team’s commanding win in the homecoming game, boosting school spirit and pride.
