The Belmont Lady Cardinals Volleyball team is heading back to the state championship after a thrilling five-set victory over the Kossuth Aggies on Monday. Playing on Kossuth’s home court, the Lady Cardinals battled their way to claim the North Half Championship in an intense, back-and-forth match.
Belmont started strong in the second and third sets after dropping the first, with scores of 19-25, 25-23, 25-19, 11-25, and 15-3. Both teams fought for every point, making it an exhilarating contest for fans in attendance. With the final set tipping in Belmont’s favor, the Lady Cardinals secured their place in the state finals once again.
This victory not only highlights their determination and teamwork but also sets the stage for another potential championship win. As they prepare for the state competition, the Lady Cardinals are carrying momentum, aiming to bring home the title. The state championship will be Thursday the 17th.
