IUKA, Miss - The Howloween Festival held at O'Claire's Boutique has become a favorite for area animal lovers.
This year they had a good turnout despite falling on the weekend of fall break when so many travel out-of-town.
They had 56 dogs, 1 cat, and 1 horse attend the event. Yes, a horse even showed up for the fun.
They received support for this annual event from area businesses, such as JR's Wholesale, Greener Grass Ministries, Sandy Wyer with The Doghouse, Tip of the Sip, Table 127, Julie Barr with Barr Bakes and Cakes, Brandy Voyles, Breads by Mary, Beth Speece, Annya Duckett, Brandy McQueen, Corey Cannon, Pruitt's Pet Paradise, and the boutique. These businesses donated to the raffle baskets, allowing them to give away 6 baskets full of goodies.
Jerry Charbauski volunteered his time and talent taking photos throughout the day.
There were goodie bags for every dog that participated by wearing their favorite costume. These bags held treats and toys donated by Pruitt's Pet Paradise and O'Claire's Boutique.
The proceeds from the day are donated to Tishomingo County Foster Rescue.
"We love offering events for our community, but this is definitely the employee favorite!" LeAnne Anglin said. "Tishomingo County Foster Rescue is near and dear to my heart, so getting to love on everyone's furbabies while raising money for the rescue is the ultimate day."
