Hodgin Shines in Grappler’s Den Competition

DENNIS, Miss - Michael Hodgin, representing Solid Ground Jiu-Jitsu from Dennis, MS, showcased his skill and determination at the Grappler’s Den in Brandon, MS, over the weekend. Competing in the highly competitive purple belt division, Hodgin made a strong impression in his first match at this level.

Sporting a striking red gi that earned admiration from the commentators, Hodgin controlled the match from start to finish. His opponent attempted multiple submission moves, but Hodgin’s defense was flawless, countering every attempt with precision. For the full six minutes, he dominated the mat, displaying not only strength but also a deep understanding of technique and strategy.

After his victory, Hodgin expressed gratitude to his training partners at Solid Ground Jiu-Jitsu. "I appreciate you all for beating the 'far' out of me every week, I wasn't worried once," he humorously remarked. His words reflect his dedication to the sport and the camaraderie he shares with his fellow athletes.
