Pilot Club of Iuka Announces Downtown Trunk-R-Treat Festivities

IUKA, Miss - It’s that time again! Trunk-R-Treat will be held on Front Street in downtown Iuka from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Now is the time to get ready for this special, annual event. If you or your business is interested in having a trunk, please sign up by calling Hannah Johnson at 662-423-8859, Allison Green at 662-424-3566, or Caroline Bonds at 662-660-9201.

To participate in Trunk-r-Treat, the following guidelines must be followed: All candy must be purchased and individually wrapped. All vehicles are to be set up on Front Street by 6 PM. No candy will be given before 6 PM. This will give all participants time to set up and our merchants the opportunity to serve their customers until closing. No vendors please. Please note, that there will be no costume contest this year.

Trunk-r-Treat was started in Iuka in 2005 by Marcell Senter, a member of Pilot Club of Iuka. It has continued with the help of her family, the Pilot Club, city police, as well as many local businesses, churches, and civic clubs. It aligns with Pilot International’s mission by providing a safe, one-stop alternative to trick or treating. Please come and enjoy this anticipated family-friendly event.

Pilot International’s mission is to influence positive change in communities throughout the world by encouraging Brain Safety & Health, preparing Youth for Services, and supporting Those Who Care for Others. For more information about Pilot and its mission go to www.pilotinternational.org. If you are interested in joining this service-minded organization, please contact any member of the Pilot Club of Iuka or Pilot President, Allison Green.
